- Description
- The United States Government currently occupies 15,055 useable square feet of office and related space in a building under lease in Washington, DC, that will expire on May 21, 2019. The Government has a requirement for an additional 16,000 contiguous useable square feet of office and related space. The total rentable space must yield a minimum of 31,055 useable square feet. It is acceptable to have two separate blocks of approximately 15,528 useable square feet of contiguous space in the same building. The delineated area is Washington, DC Central Business District, and the West End. Other requirements applicable to this requirement include: • Proximity to Metrorail/ Metro Bus • Parking (# of on site, reserved spaces (inside vs. outside) for official Government vehicles) • Security (i.e. lobby, loading dock access, parking, etc.) The Government is considering whether to expand at the existing location or to relocate to alternative space which can meet the entire space requirement. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s entire requirement for a ten year term, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, non-productive agency downtime, rent payments on vacant space under the existing lease and/or cost of buyout, etc. Please send expressions of interest to: Michael Caison Metropolitan Service Center Public Buildings Service National Capital Region U.S. General Services Administration 1099 14th Street, NW Room 200W Washington, DC 20005 Telephone: 202-219-3194 Fax: 202-219-2371 Email: Michael.caison@gsa.gov Expressions of Interest must be submitted to the above address by 5:00 PM on June 24, 2009, and must include the following information: • Building name and address. • Rentable square feet available and expected rental rate per rentable square foot, fully serviced. • ANSI/BOMA Office area square feet (OASF) to be offered and expected rental rate per OASF, fully serviced. • Date of space availability. • Method of rentable space measurement. • Building Ownership Information. • Amount of parking available on-site and its cost – include whether expected rental rate includes the cost of the required Government parking (if any). • List of building services provided. The Government’s decision regarding whether or not to relocate will be based, in part, on information received in response to this advertisement. In the event that a potential offeror fails to provide specific rental rate or other required information as part of its response to this advertisement, the Government reserves the right to assume that the building in question cannot meet the Government’s requirements.
