Description
Sole Source Letter Travis AFB intends to award a sole source purchase order for fire truck engine repair to Valley Power Systems. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2005-32, Effective 14 May 2009 and Defense DCN 20090115 Last Update:15 Jan 2009, and the Air Force Acquisition Circular 2009-0318 Effective 18 Mar 2009. This requirement is pursuant to Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). 0001-PARTS : ENGINE EXCHANGE UNIT WITH 2 YEAR WARRANTY ON PARTS AND LABOR, NEW COOLENT, OIL, FUEL HOSES, AND BELTS AIR CLEANER 0002-LABOR: INSTALL ENGINE IN CHASSIS FRAME TRIM OLD ENGINE TO NEW, TEST ENGINE AND DRIVE, RETURN TO TRAVIS. 0003-FREIGHT BACK TO TRAVIS AFB 0004-HAZ WASTE FEE The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999): (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1: technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement 2:Price.
