- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing bank stabilization work and one riser pipe structure at Moccasin Creek in Holmes County, Mississippi. Principal features of work include clearing and grubbing, debris removal, excavation, stone dikes, stone tiebacks, backfill, engineering fabric, R200 riprap, corrugated metal pipe, concrete work, erosion control, willow planting, providing as-built drawings, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $250,000 and $500,000. Plans and specifications will be available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Bidders are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. Issue date on or about 02 June 2009. Bid Opening date and time: 16 July 2009, 1430 hours. This procurement is An 8(a) competitive setaside and issued under NAICS Code 237990, FSC Code Y299, for a firm fixed price Contract. Funds are not currently available for this acquisition. No contract award will be made until appropriated funds are made available. THIS IS AN 8 (a) COMPETITIVE SET-ASIDE FOR THIS PROCUREMENT IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT COMPETITIONWILL BE LIMITED TO 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SBA MISSISSIPPI DISTRICT OFFICE, WHICH HAVE THE NAICS CODE 237990 AMONG THOSE APPROVED FOR 8(a) PARTICIPATION.
