Description

The 316th Contracting Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base intends to negotiate an 8(a) sole source Delivery Order (DO) utilizing the Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) with Bay Electric Co., Inc., located at 637 26th Street, Newport News, VA 23607, for the replacement of various generators on Andrews Air Force Base, MD. The resulting DO will be a firm fixed price order with a three hundred sixty five (365) calendar day period of performance. Negotiations are being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-5(b)(4) Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. The proposed contract action is for construction for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within seven (7) days after date of publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of request for quotation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The 316th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source action by June 30, 2009.
