Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-07-G-0008 to the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, 401 Tiltrotor Drive, Amarillo, TX 79111 on a sole-source basis for Non-recurring Effort (NRE) for the design and procurement of improvements to the Interim Defensive Weapon System (IDWS) on the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft. These improvements include field software loader, sensor ball purge equipment, IDWS software/firmware updates, technical manual updates and Fleet Support Representative Support for the IDWS. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tilt-Rotor Aircraft and is the only source that possesses the technical data and requisite knowledge to properly integrate aircraft components with tiltrotor technology.
