Map and Directions to Lackland AFB, TX. Industry Days 23 & 24 June 2009 C-5 Aircrew Training System (ATS) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Solicitation Number: Reference-Number- F4263008C5TRAINERS Agency: Department of the Air Force Office: Air Force Materiel Command Location: Hill AFB OO-ALC Industry Day 23 & 24 June 2009 Lackland AFB, TX An additional Industry Day will be held at Lackland AFB, TX, on 23 and 24 June 2009. Interested parties should respond to this notification by 17 June 2009 by sending written confirmation to Cindy.Wharton@hill.af.mil. List the names of attendees, their title, email address and phone number. An Agenda will be posted once responses are received along with a slide presentation. Attached is a map giving directions to Lackland AFB. Attendees from each interested party will be limited to two individuals. Conference fees will be $25.00 per person and will be collected on the first day. There will be a one-on-one time during the two day event with contractor(s) for presentation of questions and a required capabilities brief/presentation (30-60 minutes maximum duration). Please limit the number of questions to 3-5 during this time. A capabilities briefing that answers the government questions (see below) will be required during Industry Day presentation. Point of Contact Cindy Wharton, Contracting Officer, Email cindy.wharton@hill.af.mil, 801-777-5965 C-5 Training System Industry Day Questions General • Describe briefly the capabilities of your company and the nature of the goods and/or services you provide. o Include a description of your staff composition and management structure. o Do you have access to additional facilities, if needed? • Describe your company's past experience on previous projects similar in complexity to this requirement. o Include contract numbers, a brief description of the work performed, period of performance, agency/organization supported, and individual point of contact (Contracting Officer or Program Manager.) • Describe your company's capabilities for generating, handling, processing and storing classified material and data. • Describe your company's capabilities and experience in generating technical data, engineering drawings and manuals. o Identify what software programs are utilized to generate these data products and what formats are available for delivered items. • Are there specific requirements in the documentation we provided that may preclude your company from providing a viable solution to our requirement? • When requested, could you hold your proposed price firm for 120 days? • Is a ramp up schedule of 30 days after contract award, reasonable for this effort? o If not, what is a reasonable schedule? • Are you aware of the three incentives on this contract (Firm Fixed Price, Performance Based Payments, and Liquidated Damages)? Do you have any questions or concerns about these incentives? Engineering Services and Software Development: • Is your company's software development process certified to the Carnegie Mellon Capability Maturity Model? o If so, what level of certification have you achieved and what is the date of your certification? • Describe your capabilities and experience in managing software development projects, including subcontractor involvement. o Include any experience in project planning, work breakdown structures, resource allocations, schedule tracking, risk analysis and cost management. • Describe your configuration management processes. o How do you identify and resolve parts obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing sources problems? • What quality assurance processes and test qualification practices does your company employ? o Please provide a description of your quality program (ISO 9000, QS-9000, EIA 599, etc.). Commerciality • Are there any commercial business practices unique to your company? If so, please describe. • If you offer your product or service to both U.S. Government and commercial sources, is the same workforce used for both the U.S. Government and the general public? o Is your product, which meets our requirement, offered to both under similar terms and conditions?  Briefly describe any differences • Describe your standard warranty for goods and services furnished to the Government.
