- A MARKEY SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Construct a Community Activity Center/Dining Facility. Primary facilities include design and construction of a new Community Activity Center/Dining Facility and shall provide for co-location of the military service personnel from 914th AW, the 107th ARW, and the six (6) military units comprising the Army Reserve/Guard Center and allow for the joint use of common areas within the facility. The facility must supply the needs of all UTA troops and Club patrons within and aesthetically pleasing environment to aid in bolstering the morale of assigned military troops. Provisions must be made for restricting access to the facility by patrons accessing it for troop feeding versus military training and administration to maintain force protection and anti-terrorism management requirements. Contract duration is 510 days and estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000, but is closer to $10,000,000. NAICS is 236220. Size limitation is $33.5M. All interested Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before 22 June 2009, 10:00am, Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1)Identification and verification of the company to be certified by the Small Business Administration as a Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, (2)The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project, (3)Past Experience - Provide descriptions of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include dining facilities, mess halls and commercial restaurants where food is prepared and served at the facility. Similar in size would be a facility that is at least 15,000 square feet. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.
