- Notice of Intent Ref# 70803 The Coordination Center of Infections Diseases (CCID), Division of Tuberculosis Elimination (DTBE), of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intents to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR Part 13 and FAR Part 6.302(1), using simplified acquisition procedures, to a contractor to serve as a full-time Regional Coordinator for a period of 18 months to coordinate, monitor, and supervise projects in four countries: Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and South Korea. The purpose of the award is for a full-time Regional Coordinator who would visit each item quarterly for 1-2 weeks to ensure the correctness and completeness of specific data from the medical records of approximately 610 patients with drug-resistant TB being treated with 2nd- line drugs in 4 Asian countries, Thailand, Taiwan, S. Korea, and the Philippines, and to obtain and provide the CDC all positive sputum cultures of Mycobacterium tuberculosis from these same patients over a 2-year period of treatment. The contractor's role will be to ensure data is delivered on schedule and in good condition for all 620 and their cultures in an efficient, coordinated manner, according to all applicable ethical and regulatory standards, and based on the protocols provided by DTBE for this purpose. CDC stands to be adversely affected by the following if another vendor is awarded this contract insist of loss, compromise or inaccessibility of currently existing project data, records and other information, and the biological specimens needed. No Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
