- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Boise National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the construction of internal campground roads at the Shoreline Campground at Warm Lake. This project will consist of asphalt paving of approximately 4,120 feet of internal campground roads and 32 campsite spurs and furniture areas which will provide full accessibility to camping units. Major items of work include minor roadway reconstruction, asphalt paving, installation of 96% recycled plastic wheel stops, parking and roadway painting and striping. The project site is located at Shoreline Campground, approximately 27 miles east of Cascade, Idaho at Warm Lake. From Boise, take State Highway 55 north 78 miles to Stanley-Warm Lake Highway, then east 27 miles to NFSR #489, then west one mile to the project site. The Forest Service intends to issue a solicitation for this project utilizing FAR Part 14 procedures for sealed bidding. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for HUBzone Business concerns. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the lowest total price that meets the technical requirements outlined in the solicitation. Payment Protection will be required for this project and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply to any resulting contract. This solicitation will be available on or about July 1, 2009. The period of performance for this project will be 400 days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated to be issued on or about August 15, 2009. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the bidder will render a bidder ineligible for award. Bidders may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//.
