- This is a Request for Information (RFI). The Naval Surface Warfare Center- Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is hereby conducting a market survey of all potential sources of power supplies that can meet the following requirements: Operating Characteristics: Input Power - 115 VAC single phase, < 10A; Output Power: 4-ports at 28 VDC, < 1A; Operating Temperature: 0-50 degrees Celsius; Connectors: D38999/20FA98SN Physical Characteristics: Dimensions (do not exceed) - 8" height; 13-15" depth; 14" width Military Standard Requirements For Shipboard Equipment - Must meet or exceed:MIL-STD-461: CE102 Section 5.5.2 & Fig CE102-1; CS101 Section 5.7.2 & Fig CS101-1 Curve 1; RS101 Section 5.19.2 & Fig RS101-1; RS103 Section 5.19.2 & Table VII, Navy, Ships, Below Deck; CS114 Section 5.13.2, Table VI Ships Below Deck & Fig CS114-1 Curve 2. MIL-STD-1399-300B: Section 5.1.6.1.1 & Fig 9 Type I 60 Hz Frequency Transients; Section 5.2; Section 5.2.1.0 & Fig 21; Section 5.3; Section 5.3.3; Section 5.3.3.2, Table V & Fig 23, 24, 25 The information provided will assist NSWC PCD in understanding the technologies available to provide a safe and functional power supply. The Government is only looking at power supplies utilizing current technology available in the open market. This market survey in no way binds the Government to offer contracts to responding companies. Responses to this RFI should include supporting materials that provides a demonstration of your company's capabilities, experience, and overall understanding of the evaluation criteria that NSWC PCD has identified. The following information is requested (please indicate if the information is an estimate or actual). 1.Description of the device as it applies to the evaluation list above2.Product Development history and status3.Product application and history of fielded devices4.Installation and integration requirements5.ROM cost and lead time 6.US Military applications including points of contact NSWC PCD requests your responses by 10:00 am (CST), on 3 July 2009. Submissions will be accepted after this date, but feedback may not be as timely or contribute to NSWC PCD planning. Information provided will be treated as Business Sensitive and will not be shared outside of Government activities and agencies without the permission of the provider. All information shall be provided free of charge to the Government. NSWC PCD may request further information regarding the capabilities of respondents to meet the requirements and may request a presentation and/or a site visit as deemed necessary. This is a Sources Sought announcement, a market survey for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement.
