- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. This requirement is for a contract for a 12 month service agreement to provide a 24 hours call reception, 48 hour completion of on-site repair services and maintenance, one annual maintenance, perform a radiation leak test survey following the completion of every service call or at least on an annual basis during the annual preventative maintenance procedures, and disposal of x-ray tube (as needed) for the Gemini X-Ray Baggage Scanner. The order period is 5-years with a minimum/maximum quantity of 1/87. The anticipated contract type is a fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis with American Science & Engineering (AS&E), 829 Middlesex Tpke, Billerica, MA 01821 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Interested parties can download the solicitation from one of the three websites listed above. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
