- Revised synopsis TRANSPORTATION SUPPOR/SECURITY SYNOPSIS The Joint Contract Command Iraq/Afghanistan (JCC- I/A) Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I) Support Division (MSD) intends to solicit and award a service contract to provide transportation equipment, drivers, material handling equipment (MHE) with operators, and/or security for the movement of a variety of vehicles and equipment for the Coalition Military Forces, Iraqi Security Forces, and Iraqi Army to various sites within the area of operations, including Iraq, Kuwait and Jordan. Material to be moved includes, but is not limited to, vehicles (including commercial "pickup" trucks, 2½ ton and 5 ton trucks), 20/40ft shipping containers, MILVANs, QUADCONs, CONEXs, regular and "Air Force" pallets containing radios, weapons, and ammunition. The performance period will be a 12-month base period with one 12-month option period. The government intends on making multiple (up to six) awards to the offerors that represent the lowest price, technically acceptable offers. The awards will be firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contracts. The solicitation will be posted on the websites Federal business opportunities (FEDBIZOPS) https://www.fbo.gov, and Rebuilding Iraq http://www.rebuilding-iraq.net, estimated to be posted on or about 21 June 2009. Socio-economic impact will be a factor considered upon award. Anticipated award date will be 30 August 2009. Please see the solicitation (W91GY0-09-R-0031) for details after it is posted.
