- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. RECOVERY - PEDRICKTOWN SOUTH LEASED EQUIPMENT A contract was awarded pursuant to the Partnership Agreement dated February 28, 2007, between the Small Business Administration and the Department of Defense (DoD) and in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.800 under the 8(a) Business Development (BD) Program. The contractor shall provide the following equipment with operating personnel: One (1) crawler mounted backhoe (CAT 325 size or equivalent) with two (2) cubic yard bucket for forty (40) days, Two (2) widetrack bulldozers (CAT D6 size or equivalent) for forty (40) days each, and Four (4) articulated six wheel drive off road dump trucks for forty (40) days each. Equipment will be used in dike construction and maintenance at the Pedricktown South Disposal Area, Salem County, NJ. All work will be accomplished in accordance with the scope of work. Period of Performance: Begin on or about June 22, 2009.
