- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area is soliciting competitive proposals for a contractor to renovate and refurbish various areas of the Salt lake City Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, insurance, notifications, licenses, permits, fees and supervision necessary to renovate and refurbish various areas of the Salt Lake City Air Route Traffic Control Center in accordance with the specifications, contract clauses, and wage rates. This project includes all work identified on the attached contract drawings and specifications. A description of work for each CLIN Project is as follows: 1. Replacement of Duct Insulation - Replacement of HVAC Duct Insulation in the basement of the Administration Wing. This includes the re-insulation of the ductwork previously removed under abatement conditions. Provide complete HVAC insulation including required jackets, accessories, attachments, and sealing compounds.2. Refurbish Rest Rooms - Refurbishment of the restrooms in the Power Service Building and Garage. This includes the replacement of electrical exhaust fan, heater, water heater, fixtures, lighting, suspended ceiling, painting, and other renovation work as specified.3. Replace Loading Dock & Awning Roofs - Remove and replace the Administration Wing Loading Dock and Awning Roofs with a complete 80 mil TPO roof system. This includes drain pipe installation and reinstallation of electrical/lightning protection system.4. Sewer Replacement - Remove and replace sanitary sewer lines in the basement and first floor of the Administration Wing. This includes the replacement of 4-inch, 3-inch, and 2-inch sanitary sewer piping, drops, vents, and cleanouts as specified on the drawings. The estimated dollar value for this contract is between $150,000.00 and $300,000.00 THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED BUSNIESS CONCERNS (SEDB). The SEDB firms competing for this acquisition shall be certified and be in good standing as an 8(a) contractor with the Small Business Administration. Certification documents shall be required when submitting offers. See contract clause 3.6.1-8 Notification of Competition Limited to Eligible SEDB Concerns (April, 2000). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 (General Contactor) for this construction project. Additionally, this NAICS code a small business is defined as a size standard with a maximum size standard of $33.5 million.
