- In accordance with AMS policy, 3.2.2.3.1.2.1, this is a public announcement for an upcoming project for the installation of Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL) to serve Runway 34 at the Newport Municipal Airport in Newport, Oregon and Runway 35 at the Corvallis Municipal Airport in Corvallis, Oregon. SUMMARY OF WORK:The work includes the installation of Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL) to serve runway 35 at the Corvallis Municipal Airport in Corvallis, Oregon and runway 34 at the Newport Municipal Airport in Newport, Oregon. The existing runway REIL lighting equipment shall be totally removed and disposed of by the Contractor. This includes the removal of all above ground structures, pull boxes, and underground conduit and cabling (in the immediate vicinity) associated with the equipment. The site shall be restored and re-graded (including seeding) to match the surrounding grade, compaction, and condition. All work shall be to the approval of the Airport and the FAA Project Engineer. The Contractor shall provide documentation to the FAA Project Engineer certifying that all material has been disposed of properly and that the Airport is satisfied with the final site condition. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract.
