Description
CORRECTION NOTE: This award notice supersedes the previous award notice posted on 12 Jun 09 for the same solicitation# (SABER06-2006) and Contract Award# FA4626-09-0001-0006. The title was input incorrectly on the previous award notice posted 12 Jun 09 and has been corrected in this notice. All other information remains unchanged. This firm fixed price award is against a previously existing multiple award SABER IDIQ contract competed under the 8(a) set-a-side program. The contractor shall perform all services necessary to accomplish complete and functional installation of the proposed project. The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the SABER contract specifications, associated drawings and additional requirements of the task order statement of work. REQUIREMENTS : The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment and incidentals necessary to install twenty-six (26) - 1/2 horsepower electric trolley style garage door operators, structural supports for motor and operators, tracks, switches, electrical circuits, and perform maintenance on these 26 sectional garage doors and replace three door sections at various MAF's. The place of performance will be at 13 pre-engineered buildings (PEB's) at the Missile Alert Facilities (MAF's) throughout the Malmstrom Missile Field Complex. Five of the 13 PEB's were constructed in 1973 and the other eight PEB's were built at a later date. The Government will provide to the contractor preliminary drawings and information compiled from Missile Engineering's most recent data. The site is secured and all workers will be required to be on an Entry Authorization List (EAL). A government escort along with a Project Superintendent from the Prime Contractor will be on-site at all times during construction. All personal and equipment are subject to personal search upon arrival and departure from the site. No personal or company cellular phones will be permitted on site at anytime. The only exception to this will be government issued non-picture taking approved cellular phones. All Security Delays will be calculated as a Crew-hour (CR-HR) for contract purposes. 01 Garage Door Repair: The Contractor will be required to complete an inspection on each of the 26 overhead sectional doors and replace items as needed and as shown in the table contained within the 35% design drawings. Also included in this section will be the replacement of the weather-stripping on the door jambs and sill. At three sites, B-1, D-1, and G-1, one section of the each damaged overhead door will need to be replaced, with a section meeting the requirements in 03 New Garage Door Section. Also, at these three sites, the exterior of all door sections on that door both doors will need to be painted to match the new overhead door section. 02 Garage Door Operator: Under this item the contractor will need to install 26 complete and operational garage door operator systems that meet the following requirements: -1/2 horsepower commercial (Raynor or equal) electric trolley style garage door operators, with belt drive from motor to trolley and heavy duty roller chain driven trolley, - Structural supports for motor and operators, - 3 button momentary contact on open and stop, constant pressure on close and a provision for the connection of a safety edge to reverse door to open position when door is closing, - Pneumatic safety strip - Chain hoist with disconnect Manual release cords so that the doors can be opened and closed during a power outage, - New door torsion springs, 25,000 cycle or 50,000 cycle. See chart on drawings for site details. 03 New Garage Door: Under this item the Contractor will need to provide all necessary components to install 2 complete and operational- 12'x14' overhead sectional Thermseal Standard or equal, with minimum R-16.4 insulated overhead doors, tracks, and 25,000 50,000 cycle torsion springs at E-01. Colors: All sectional overhead doors will be Dark Brown. 04 Electrical: Under this item the Contractor will need to provide all necessary conduit, wire, labor and ancillary items to provide power to garage door openers from an existing spare breaker in the breaker box in the large garage and provide installation of low voltage circuits from garage door switches and pneumatic reverser strip to openers.
