Description
DRAFT statement of work The Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), a part of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU), located on the National Naval Medical Campus in Bethesda, MD, anticipates a requirement for the design and installation of new control consoles for the TRIGA Mark F reactor and 500,000 Curie Co-60 irradiation facility, which are over 20 years old. The replacement control panels will be a digital control system with observation and readout electronics, as well as monitoring and recording systems for the facilities. AFRRI collaborates with other government agencies, academic institutions, and laboratories, not only in the United States, but all over the world to conduct and analyze research of the biological effects of ionizing radiation. AFRRI is also a key player in providing medical training and emergency response to incidents caused by radiation exposure. We encourage interested vendors to view additional information regarding the mission and capabilities of AFRRI at http://www.afrri.usuhs.mil/. AFRRI will be hosting individual presolicitation conference(s) with interested offerors regarding this requirement. Offerors interested in scheduling a presolicitation conference must contact the contract specialist, Michelle Creenan-301.295.3924 or micreenan@usuhs.mil, by July 10th. In order to enter AFRRI individuals must be US citizens and bring a valid ID. Any US citizen born outside of the United States must bring proof of citizenship. Attached is a DRAFT statement of work for reference. Funding is currently not available for this requirement. Offerors participating in a presoliciation conference are doing so at their own cost and will not be reimbursed by the government.
