Description
RECOVERY-All questions regarding this SYNOPSIS should be submitted in writing to the following E-Mail address: Linda.N.McKethan@usace.army.mil. This Acquisition shall be competed as a SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This synopsis is for the purpose of a pre-solicitation notification only. A Small Business Set Aside solicitation shall be issued for (2) Emergency Generators. Contract will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP). Specifications are: First Requirement is for (1) one 50k Standby/prime Generator to include: 120/208 voltage, 3 phase, and diesel fueled; full factory load-bank tested; 40kw alternator-Mecc Alte 12-lead reconnectable, vacuum impregnated with 300% start for ten seconds, single bearing, class H; industrial muffler (shipped loose); cool flow radiator with fan guards; fuel shut off solenoid valve-fuel filer; solenoid activated starter motor; dry type air cleaner. oil filter with internal bypass; oil and radiator drain extensions to allow easy change of fluids; battery charging alternator, engine driven; vibration isolators between engine/alternator and base frame; starting battery, battery rack and cables; main line circuit breaker; auto-start ready (two wire control), digital control panel displaying amps, volts and frequency; alarms and fault indicators for oil pressure; water temp, over-crank and over-speed; min/max alternator; low fuel level and emergency stop button; owners manual; standby warranty for one year. Second Requirement is for (1) one 75k Standby/prime Generator to include: 120/240 voltage 1 phase, diesel fueled; alternator; cool flow radiator with fan guards; fuel shut off solenoid valve-fuel filter; solenoid activated starter motor; battery charging alternator, engine driven; dry type air cleaner, oil filer with internal bypass; vibration isolators between engine/alternator and base frame; n wire control; digital control panel displaying amps, volts, and frequency; alarm and fault indicators; warranty two years or 1000 hours; weather resistant super silent enclosure. OPTIONS: battery charger, 12 v 5 amp; UL142 listed fuel tank sub base 150-gallons; automatic transfer switch 400 amp 2 pole NEMA 3R. Delivery within 60 days of award. MUST HAVE 24 HRS NOTICE FOR DELIVERY! The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this program is 335312, Motor and Generator Manufacturing with a corresponding Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3566 and a business size standard of 1000 employees. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only on FebBizOpps Website at www.fbo.gov. Notification of amendments shall be made via FebBizOpps only. It is the contractors responsibility to check the below-listed Internet address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. No corrections and/or changes to proposals will be allowed after the proposal submittal due time and date. Estimated solicitation issue date is on or about the estimated date of June 12, 2009. Proposals are anticipated to be due on or about June 29, 2009. For security reasons, this solicitation and all technical data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the ARMY SINGLE FACE TO INDUSTRY (ASFI) web site: https://acquisition.army.mil/afsi/.
