Description
The Memphis District Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract to renovate an existing ICU at the Veterans Administration Medical Facility, Leavenworth, Kansas, in accordance with (IAW) FAR 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor and materials for the renovation of existing clinic support space for a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the second floor (C2) of building 91 to include a total of 6 beds: 2-Medicine, 1-Surgical, and 3-stepdown. The new ICU will provide a state-of-the-art unit that will replace an existing ICU with multiple patient privacy deficiencies along with space and infrastructure deficiencies. Once the new ICU is functional, the existing ICU space will then be renovated for a new GI Clinic that was vacated for the newly constructed ICU. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This procurement will be a competitive, best value request for proposal set aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. For the purpose of this procurement to qualify as a small business concern, in addition to being independently owned and operated and not dominate in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, the concern must have had average annual sales receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not exceeding $33,500,000.00 million. The supplies or services to be procured in this solicitation are classified under NAICS code 236220. Solicitation will be issued on or about 01 July 2009 and proposal due date will be on or about 31 July 2009.
