- PURPOSE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Transatlantic Programs Center (TAC), will host an Industry Day on Friday, July 17, 2009. The primary focus of this event is to present an overview of upcoming FY09 projects within the Central Commands Area of Responsibility (CENTCOM AOR) as well as define TACs expectations and goals for its FY10 workload and beyond. TACs goal is to expand its contractor base for future competitive acquisitions and encourage an open dialogue between USACE Representatives and our Industry Partners. USACE Representatives from Project Management, Construction, and Contracting Divisions will provide an overview of TACs upcoming project workload. TAC Leadership and Subject Matter Experts will be on hand to network with conference attendees. Small businesses, specifically Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns, who are interested in performing within the CENTCOM AOR are highly encouraged to participate in and should view this event as a networking opportunity with Industry Leaders and USACE Representatives. EVENT DETAILS: The event will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Millwood Station Banquet Hall, 252 Costello Drive, Winchester, VA 22602 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Sign-in and networking opportunities will begin at 7:30 a.m. EVENT REGISTRATION: Those interested in attending are encouraged to register No Later Than Close of Business July 8, 2009 via TACs Industry Day link at http://www.tac.usace.army.mil/IndustryDay/Home.html. Industry Day attendance is limited to no more than three individuals per organization. Non-registered guests will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis; however, space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged. Please note that registration information will be available to the public. POST-EVENT INFORMATION: Presentation slides, a list of Q&As, and the Participant List will be posted to TACs Industry Day link at http://www.tac.usace.army.mil/IndustryDay/Home.html and the FedBizOpps no later than 07 August 2009. NOTE: This Notice is being issued for planning and informational proposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, or participation in this event (to include attendees travel costs) nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice.
