- Description
- The intent of this contract is to furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary to demolish four of five restroom buildings at Tannery Gulch Campground and construct four new restroom buildings at the same locations and install asphalt ADA compliant access paths from the road suystem to all the restrooms. The work shall include, but not be limited to disconnecting, capping and protecting the water and sewer; demolishing and removing the existing restrooms and sidewalds, site grading, constructing the new restroom buildings including five foot wide concrete sidewalk on all sides, constructing the asphalt access paths, hooking up the existing water and sewer and all other work necessary for complete and fully functioning restroom buildings. BID OPTIONS: Project will include optional bid items: an additional restroom building and concrete sidewald (access path) to be constructed at Lakeshore East Campground. Work is the same as above, including the demolition of the building and surrounding five foot wide concrete sidewald, but also includes disconnecting the existing electricity and installing wiring, lights, outlets and the like in the new building, and reconnecting the electricity to the new building. In addition, a five foot wide concrete sidewald (path) from the road to the five foot wide sidewald around the restroom is included. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. TANNERY GULCH CAMPGROUND is located on Trinity Lake off Highway 3, east of Weaverville, Trinity County, California. LAKESHORE EAST CAMPGROUND is located on Shasta Lake, north of Redding, Shasta County, California off Highway 5 on Lakeshore Drive in Lakehead. PRICE RANGE: Between $250,000 and $500,000 CONTRACT TIME: 120 calendar days. Estimated start work date is September 1, 2009 PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: See solicitation for date. BONDING is required of the successful offeror at time of award. A bid guarantee is required with offeror’s submitted proposal. Solicitation will be a Request for Proposal requiring both a price and technical proposal responding to the evaluation criteria as stated in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about July 2, 2009. Interested contractors and subcontractors are requested to self-register at this website to receive email notification of any postings concerning this project, such as amendments.
