Description
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is a wholly-owned United States government corporation and agency of the United States created under Title IV of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) to administer the federal pension insurance programs and enforce compliance with the provisions of Title IV. The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has a requirement for actuarial systems engineering and support services for the maintenance and enhancement of the Pension Insurance Modeling System (PIMS). The tasks to be performed under this Full & Open requirement include 1) actuarial systems engineering services related to the maintenance and development of the single-employer and multiemployer versions of the stochastic Pension Insurance Modeling System (SE PIMS and ME PIMS) and the deterministic Budget Forecast Model and 2) actuarial support related to the production of reports and analyses for which PRAD is responsible that are statutorily required under ERISA or requested by PBGC management and/or other Executive or Legislative branch staff. The NAICS code is 541990. This procurement is solicited as Full and Open Competition. The solicitation will result in a stand alone contract with a base performance period of twelve months, and four option performance periods of twelve months each. All responsible sources must be registered in the CCR, in order to be eligible for the award. Contractors can register online at the website; www.ccr.gov. The solicitation and any amendments will be electronically distributed and available through the www.fbo.gov website. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on/around July 3, 2009. The anticipated award date is on/around September 30, 2009. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the www.fbo.gov site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and any amendments will not be distributed. Upon issuance of the solicitation, there will be an identified question and answer period. Other inquires regarding this solicitation must be sent to the Contract Specialist.
