- Description
- Contractor is to provide all labor, materials, services, oversight and direction to complete the design and construction for the interior sustainment/renovation of an existing 3 story 33,000 SF dormitory. The project includes the demolition and subsequent construction of sewer lines, electrical and lighting, and various aesthetic components to improve the sustainability of the interior of the structure to include all carpeting. Renovations will require the replacement of all bathroom fixtures to include the extension of the existing utilities as necessary. The facility will be unoccupied during the construction. The contractor will be responsible for protecting and moving all furniture back to existing locations to include all furnishings free standing or wall mounted. The solicitation will result in a firm fixed-priced contract. The North American Industry System code is 236220. This acquisition is a competitive 8(a) set-aside. All offerors require 8(a) certification and verification. There is a geographic restriction limited to firms located within Region 10 (the states, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska). U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Requirement Number: 1087-09-905885. Joint Venture Agreements - Joint Ventures are allowable on competitive 8(a) set-asides and must be received by SBA prior to proposal due date and approved before award of a resulting contract. If you are contemplating a joint venture on this project, you must advise your assigned Business Development Specialist (BDS) as soon as possible. It is recommended that the agreement be submitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations. Any corrections and/or changes can be made only when your BDS has adequate time for a thorough review before the proposal due date. NO CORRECTIONS AND/OR CHANGES ARE ALLOWED AFTER TIME OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL OR BIDS. A formal Request For Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about 21 July 2009 via Fed Biz Opps. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
