- The purpose of this announcement is to obtain market research on vendors who are interested and capable of providing technical services to host and support the USFS State and Private Forestry (S&PF) Assessment Tool (S&PFAT) geospatial application. The tool consists of a web-based GIS application that will provide access to a standard framework that enables the weighting and combining of geospatial layers representing national forestry related themes and objectives. The tool will provide analysis of present and future forest conditions, trends, and threats in forest lands of all ownerships using publicly available data. The information and will be made available to a State and Federal government user base. General requirements may include: - Providing a Hosted Environment infrastructure, including the relevant hardware, peripherals, power, facilities, and network infrastructure that enables external http access to the Internet-based Geospatial S&PFAT system. - The application hosting environment may support up to 120 total users, with up to 35 using the S&PFAT concurrently. - One-year hosting commitment period with an option to renew the hosting agreement for one additional year. - Providing general Hosted Environment and Geospatial operational technical support. - Resolution of third-party software and data licensing agreement terms, conditions, and arrangements. - Update and load USFS data when required. - Ability to extend infrastructure capacity to support increased peak operational hours; increased usage and user load; or upgrades, modification or additions to the infrastructure, hardware, or the S&PFAT system Vendors who are interested in participating in this Market Research are requested to provide the following information, in writing either via email or U.S. Mail, in response to this announcement.
