Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR AIRCOMPRESSOR. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This noticeserves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will notbe issued.The purpose of this amendment is to post the updated Statement of Work, post the updatedselection of award, and to notfiy industry of an on site visit.The Statement of Work has been updated as follows: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/NNJ09295675Q/SOW-AirCompressor-RevB.doc Selection and award will be made to that offeror whose offer will be most advantageous tothe Government, with consideration given to the factors of proposed technical merit,price, and past performance. Other value chararcteristics are as follows: -Higher air output than 4000 cubic feet per minute -Higher working air pressure than 50 psig and still have the ability to satisfy thelimitations of electrical power and physical space requirements as stated in Section 2.1TECHNICAL -Delivery and installation before the required delivery dateIt is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of theiroffer.(SEE FAR 52.212-1(b)).JSC has scheduled an on site visitation for potential vendors to evaluate and inspect thearea of installation for the proposed air compressor. A walk through of the site isscheduled for 2:00 pm on June 24, 2009. Offerors attending the walk through must submitthe legal name of the person attending (limit 1 person per company) as it is written ontheir Driver's License, state whether the individual is a U.S. Citizen, and also submitthe company name, phone number, and email address to adrian.d.clayton@nasa.gov no laterthan COB June 18, 2009. On the day of the site visit, Offerors must report to Building 110 for badging andclearance. The Contracting Officer, Adrian Clayton will meet you and escort you to thesite. Oral questions will not be answered at the on site visit due to the possibility ofmisunderstanding or misinterpretation. All questions shall be submitted in writing, viaemail, to adrian.d.clayton@nasa.gov not later than 12:00 noon on June 26, 2009. 52.237-1 Site Visit. (April 1984)- Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspectthe site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding allgeneral and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to theextent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure toinspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. 52.237-2 Protection of Government Buildings, Equipment, and Vegetation April 1984)-TheContractor shall use reasonable care to avoid damaging existing buildings, equipment, andvegetation on the Government installation. If the Contractors failure to use reasonablecare causes damage to any of this property, the Contractor shall replace or repair thedamage at no expense to the Government as the Contracting Officer directs. If theContractor fails or refuses to make such repair or replacement, the Contractor shall beliable for the cost, which may be deducted from the contract price.
