Description
This notice is to inform all interested parties that this procurement is no longer a small business set-aside. The procurement is now a full and open competition. The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for contractor services that provide SSA with independent analysis and documentation regarding the quality of current consultative exams (CEs) used in the determination of disability. Additionally, the contractor would assess if CEs are being requested in compliance with SSA regulations; determine the methodology of a functional data collection system; establish a baseline for CE quality; and determine those initiatives that will improve the quality of future CEs. This requirement will be procured using procedures from Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price (with reimbursable travel) contract with a period of performance of 18 months from the date of award. This procurement will be a full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541720, with a size standard of $7.0 million. Solicitation number SSA-RFP-09-1046, is scheduled for release on or about July 2, 2009, with proposals due 30 calendar days thereafter. The solicitation will be available for downloading from the Federal Procurement website at www.fbo.gov. HARD COPIES OF THE RFP WILL NOT BE MAILED. Telephone requests will not be honored and no bidders list will be maintained. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the FedBizOpps website to check the status of this requirement and to keep current with any amendments that may be issued. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. All questions must be submitted via email to erica.day@ssa.gov.
