- Description
- Recovery Act - VAMC Huntington, WV is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business who has proven experience in steam line distribution systems to complete Recovery Act Replace Steam Distribution System at the VA Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Work will include but not limited to general and mechanical trades. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision for this project. All work shall be completed in accordance with all Federal, State and OSHA regulations. This project will provide for replacing and upgrading of the main steam distribution system service to buildings 5,6,7,and 8, which are planned for major renovation improvements for the expanded outpatient mental health services.This procurement is 100% set aside for service disabled veteran owned small businesses. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 with a small business size standard of $14.0 M. This is a competitively negotiated project. The contract will be awarded using Best Value source selection process full instruction will be included in the solicitation package. Award may be made without discussions. Firms will submit two proposals, one will address technical capabilities (including proof from the surety of bonding capacity and evidence of past performance). The prime contractor must have been involved directly with the project (performing actual on-site work in addition to Supervision). The second proposal shall address pricing. All work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean up. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. The specifications will be uploaded on/about July 1, 2009; the proposal due date will be on/about Aug 4, 2009. Drawings and specifications shall be provided electronically through www.fedbizopps.gov. Firms must be registered SDVOSB at both Central Contractor Registry and Vet Biz. Telephone requests or questions will not be honored. Pre-proposal conference will be held on July 13, 2009 at 9:30 AM at the Huntington VA Medical Center, Bldg 8 (Purchasing and Logistics) no other visitation opportunities will be available. All questions shall be submitted in writing no later than July 22, 2009 in writing, questions will be answered via amendment in writing and publically announced.
