Description
Pre-solicitation Notice for Veteran Lodging near Portland VA Medical Center The Veteran's Affairs, VISN 20 Contracting Division has a requirement for temporary veteran lodging within seven miles of the Portland VA Medical Center. The government may require up to 20 hotel/motel rooms Sunday through Thursday and up to five hotel/motel rooms Friday through Saturday. Handicapped and ADA rooms must be available. This requirement will be handled as a Small Business Set-Aside. The government intends to award a multiple award, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract. It is anticipated that the period of performance will be for one base year plus four one-year option periods. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will only be available on the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading the RFQ and all attachments. It is the offerror's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps for the release of the solicitation and any amendments that may follow. Potential offerors making a written request must include an adequate justification for not obtaining the solicitation via the internet. Telephone requests for diskettes or other inquiries will not be honored. Requests may be made via email at alyssa.dark2@va.gov phone number (360) 852-9857. Offerors are cautioned to include the Solicitation Number VA-260-09-RQ-0110 on all documentation submitted in response to this requirement. Contract requirements, together with evaluation criteria will be covered in detail in the solicitation and work statement. Contract award will be based on the best-value to the Government where technical capability is equal to cost/price. The estimated award date is March, 2009. The North American Industry Code for this procurement is 72110 Hotels (except casino hotels) and motels, and the size standard is $6.5 million. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central contractor Registry at www.ccr.gov. Additionally, Representations and Certifications must be completed at http://orca.bpn.gov.
