- AMENDMENT NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W33GG391530300 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-31. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 327999 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees. This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2009-07-06 11:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Hunter Army Airfield, GA 31409 The USA ACA Ft. Stewart requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, TWO STORY MEZZANINE with shelf system on bottom floor and office on top. Steel supported mezzanine 28' X 12' with modular office on top of mezzanine. Ground level is made up of 36 shelving units in 12 rows of 3 ea. Units are 48" X 12" X 85" with 6 shelves. Backs and rows are closed. The two end rows are single, the 10o intermediate are in 5 back to back groups with a 32" aisle. One set of 36" stairs and a 4 X 4' landing with hand railing include. The floor is type B corrugated steel deck covered with 3/4" resin deck. The modular office 28 X 12 X 8 high, 4 walls with ceiling. One standard door and four standard windows. Standard electrical package and HVAC included. No floor covering or light bulbs included. 9rolling work tables 3' X 8" X 3' 11 with four swivel casters. 5 X 2 with two locking wheels. Tops must be laminate covered wood. All tables must be hooked together with fastening devices., 1, EA; LI 002, STEEL OVERHANG TO MATCH EXISTING ROOF COVER. 55 X 29 X 17 high side single slope open roof system, roof pitch :12, bay spacing 1 at 29 feet and two at 55 feet I beam End wall Frames. ROOF - 24 Kynar Colored trapezoidal standing seam panels with required bracing. SIDES - Sheeted from roof line down 2.0 in 26 GA tucco embossed panels (on low side only, high sidewall is common to existing building). ENDS - Sheeted from roof line down 2'0" for 55'0" all trim in 26 GA standard colors. 29 of 26 GA. Standard color gutters and downspouts. 139 of 8 chain link fence with 3 runs of barb wire, wind screen required bracing and core drilling for drilling posts. 8 concrete piers with rebar and fiber (cut out of existing slab were columns fall). Building must be designed to wind load of 120MPH., 1, EA; LI 003, Installation, 1, EA; LI 004, SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD AT 0900, 30 JUNE 2009 - ALL PARTIES WILL MEET AT 1/75 Ranger Regiment, Building 708, Steven Douglas Street, Hunter Army Air Feild,GA 31409. Stewart intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. USA ACA Ft. Stewart is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. (End of provision) 52.236-2 Differing Site Conditions. As prescribed in 36.502, insert the following clause:Differing Site Conditions (Apr 1984)(a) The Contractor shall promptly, and before the conditions are disturbed, give a written notice to theContracting Officer of (1) Subsurface or latent physical conditions at the site which differ materially from those indicated in this contract; or(2) Unknown physical conditions at the site, of an unusual nature, which differ materially from those ordinarily encountered and generally recognized as inhering in work of the character provided for in the contract.(b) The Contracting Officer shall investigate the site conditions promptly after receiving the notice. If the conditions do materially so differ and cause an increase or decrease in the Contractors cost of, or thetime required for, performing any part of the work under this contract, whether or not changed as a result of the conditions, an equitable adjustment shall be made under this clause and the contract modified in writing accordingly.(c) No request by the Contractor for an equitable adjustment to the contract under this clause shall be allowed, unless the Contractor has given the written notice required; provided, that the time prescribedin paragraph (a) of this clause for giving written notice may be extended by the Contracting Officer. (d) No request by the Contractor for an equitable adjustment to the contract for differing site conditions shall be allowed if made after final payment under this contract.(End of Clause)
