Description
The U. S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity has a requirement for technical literature for Microplate Readers that meet or exceed the below technical specifications. The Government may require a demonstration of your equipment. Demonstrations will be scheduled based on the technical review of your specifications. The demonstration will take place at the U.S. Army Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, Maryland. Your technical literature should include all physical characteristics and electrical requirements for the operation of your equipment. Also, provide recommended maintenance, maintenance schedules, supplies or repair kits necessary for your equipment. NOTE: THIS IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES AND NOT AN OFFICIAL SOLICITATION. THE INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE GOVERNMENT'S FUTURE NEEDS. Description: The microplate reader is required for determining nucleotide quantity accurately without degrading the nucleotide sample. Components: 1. Must include multiple detection modes to be able to measure luminescence, fluorescence, and absorbance. 2. 96 well plate format for multiple sample handling or dilution/titration quantitation 3. The luminescence module must have a spectral range of 350-650 nm, peak wavelength of 420 nm and a detection limit of 3 x 10-21 to have the capabilities and sensitivity required for the most common usage of luminescence quantitation for samples with small quantities. 4. The fluorescence module must include all four filters that are most commonly used in the genomics industry ( UV, blue, green, red) to be able to meet the required quantitation assays required by a project. 5. The fluorescence module must have a detection limit of 0.5 fmol/200ul or 1ppt of fluorescein in 96 well plate or 30 pg,well dsDNA with PicoGreen specifically to be able to run PicoGreen assays that are required to support sequencing using sensitive and complex high-throughput sequencing machines. 6. The absorbance module must have the spectral range of at least 400-800 nm, a photometric measuring range of 0-5.0 OD, a linear dynamic range of 0-4.0 OD to match assay requirements that will support sequencing, microarray, and nucleic based therapeutics research. 7. Must include a compatible injector system for flash-based luminescene applications or dual reporter assays. 8. Easily retractable data is required with both saving and printing capabilities for ease of use and data presentation. 9. The instrument must be fully automated which includes its own software and be able to support USAMRIID computer requirements for both compatibility with the USAMRIID system and ease of use. No phone calls will be accepted. Submit your technical packages to the below email addresses: pamela.nevels@amedd.army.mil and Michael.Caselle@amedd.army.mil
