AMC: 3B - Acquire directly from the actual manufacturer, whether or not the prime contractor is the actual manufacturer; Part must be acquired from a manufacturing source specified on a source control drawing as defined by the current version of DOD-STD-100. 5. Line Item 0001 Function: Used to change the linear motion of the cable assembly into linear motion of the gear sector; Approximate dimensions: 136.00" Length X 8.00" Width X 8.00" Height; 30# Weight; Predominant Material of Manufacture: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Bronze. 8. Approved Source: Triumph Controls LLC 9. Total Line Item 0001 Quantities: 13 EA 10. Application: KC-135 11. Destination: FB2039, Tinker AFB, OK 73145-9013 12. IDIQ Multi-Year Contract contemplated; Duration of contract: 3 years; Minimum Quanity: 4 EA; Maximum Quantity: 63 EA; 3-Year Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) Total: 42 EA 13 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICATION. Current qualified source is Triumph Controls LLC, cage code 78710; Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1); Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The propposed contract action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. 16. UID: Note to Contractor: If unit price exceeds $5,000, the UID requirements may apply. 15. Written procedures will be used for this solicitation. Complete manufacturing data is available; however, unique requirements necessary to maintain part integrity of this critical item reuire pre-qualification of sources. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
