- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO for the acquisition of two (2) SSA Interface Cable (W1), P/N DA132M1028-1; two (2) SSA Adapter Cable (W2), P/N DA132M1029-1; four (4) YDS Test Set Cable (W3), P/N DA132M1030-1; four (4) ADR Extraction Cable (W4), P/N DA132M1031-1; two (2) SASS Interface Cable (W5), P/N DA132M1032-1; two (2) MDP Interface Cable (W6), P/N DA132M1033-1; two (2) MDP Adapter Cable (W7), P/N DA132M1034-1; and (8) eight Multifunction Test Sets (MTS), P/N DA132M1010-1 to support the T-45 aircraft program. The MTS would connect to several avionics in the aircraft through adapter cables W1-W7. The purpose of this procurement is to enable the Navy to download the recorded data during flight from the Airborne Data Recorders to its hard drive using different cables and also upload Operational Flight Program to the Mission Display Processor. The resultant delivery order of the above solicitation will be placed under BOA N68335-06-G-0024. The Government intends to procure the Multifunction Test Set and Adapters under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
