Description

The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis a Firm Fixed Price order with Bell-Boeing JPO (Boeing Helicopter) for a Tube Collision Analysis for the CV-22 Tube Bender (P/N VB200) at Kirkland AFB. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. Boeing Helicopter is the only expert in the industry that has the knowledge and expertise of the overall aircraft, the CV-22 Tubing, the CV-22 Tube Bender Machine and the CV-22 Tube Bender tooling, to be able to perform this comprehensive Tube Collision Analysis. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
