Description

The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate on a Sole Source Basis a Firm Fixed Price order with The David Round Company for the purchase of five (5) Portable Reverse-Style Cantilever Hydraulic Floor Cranes in support of the CV-22 Aircraft. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. The David Round Company is the manufacturer of the Portable Reverse-Style Cantilever Hydraulic Floor Crane which is the only floor crane capable of performing the unique tasks of installing/removing CV-22 components. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
