Description
Construction addition and alteration of existing Army Reserve Center (ARC). Primary facilities include an addition (approximately 18,845 SF) and alteration (approximately 33,718 SF) to an existing ARC training building. The project also includes organizational parking (approximately 3,234 SY). Buildings will be of permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frames, masonry veneer walls, standing seam metal roof, HVAC systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, fire protection systems (including fire pump enclosure), security systems, and electrical systems. Supporting facilities include land clearing, paving, fencing, general site improvements, and extension of utilities to serve project. Physical security measures will be incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distances cannot be maintained. Sustainable Design and Development (SDD) and Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct05) features will be provided. This solicitation also has 9 options which include (1) Bi-Level Loading Ramp, (2) Unheated Storage Building (approximately 2,431 SF), (3) Wash Bay and Canopy, (4) Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS)(approximately 4,784 SF), Wash Bay, and Canopy, (5) Monumental Sign, (6) Lightning Protection System for OMS, (7) Operations & Maintenance, Army Reserve (OMAR) Equipment,(8)Furniture, Army Reserve (OMAR), and (9) OMS Building underground telecom/electrical services.
