- This is a Sources Sought synopsis being conducted pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research. The MICC at Fort Lee has a requirement for drain maintenance for kitchen systems. This is not a Solicitation Announcement and is not a Request for Proposal. This does not obligate the Government to any contract award. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time. Any information provided as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. This sources sought synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. Please direct any questions regarding this acquisition and technical questions to Mark West at mark.west8@conus.army.mil. The purpose of this Sources Sought synopsis is to determine interests and capabilities of potential qualified Small Business Administration (SBA), Hubzone Small Business, Certified 8(a), and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 325998, All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for the above project, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Government will assess a companys capability to provide the required support using the objectives/criteria identified below: Ability to perform maintenance services and repair to include service calls for drain maintenance at the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command and Fort Lee, VA. The services shall be performed in accordance with the requirements and standards described in the Performance Requirements Summary, which summarized the services, associated standards and the Applicable Quality Levels (AQL). Ability to supply a product with salient characteristics of resistance to high temperature and bleach, has pleasant fragrance, and contains surfactants and emulsifiers. The product shall remove grease from the sewer lines without having to jet the lines before the product is introduced into sewer lines. All shipping cost shall be included in the price of the product. Services shall also conform to guidelines set forth in all applicable regulations. Ability to provide all necessary labor, materials, transportation, and equipment to perform service calls, preventive maintenance, and repair on each type of systems specified herein. Establish and adhere to schedules for quarterly and annual preventive maintenance and repair. Ability to implement all necessary work control procedures to ensure timely accomplishment of work requirements, as well as to permit tracking of work in progress. Responsible for adequately planning and scheduling work to assure material and labor availability to complete work requirements within the response times and quality standards established herein. Status of any item of work must be provided to the COR or QAE within one hour of the request, during normal duty hours. Eastern Standard Time, on 06 July 2009. The following information is required: 1. Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) & Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) (This information can be obtained from your Central Contractor Registration). 2. Name of firm w/address, phone and fax number, and point of contact. 3. State if your company is a HubZone Small Business, certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. 4. State whether your firm can provide a Bid Bond (20% of the total bid amount), Performance and Payment Bonds (100% of the contract amount). 5. Qualifications: Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall indicate specialized experience in performing maintenance services and repair to include service calls for drain maintenance. Provide documentation for your firm on past or similar efforts as a prime contractor. 6. Submission Requirements: Firms submitting responses shall provide information on the most recent up to five projects that prove you can meet the qualification criteria listed above, with contract number, project location, description of work requirements, contact and phone number for each effort. Firms should also indicate all applicable personnel and sub-contractors proposed to work on the contract. Proof of Small Business Administration (SBA) registration HubZone and 8(a) Small Business shall be provided with this response.
