- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Pacific Northwest Region, 1150 N Curtis Rd, Boise, ID 83706-1234, intends to negotiate a contract with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) for the performance of assessments of privately owned diversion structures associated with Reclamation water service contracts for compliance with National Marine Fisheries Service design criteria for fish protective devices. The fish screen assessments required under this contract are part of a system of thirteen dams, reservoirs and related facilities located in the tributaries of the Willamette Basin Project in Western Oregon. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) is uniquely qualified to perform this function for Reclamation due to their technical expertise in fish screen assessment, design, and modifications and the existence of their ODFW Fish Screening and Passage Program. ODFW also has a State-mandated interest in the preservation of the fish species at issue in this assessment program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 541690, Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services, and the small business size standard is $7.0 million. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to Don Anderson via e-mail at dhanderson@usbr.gov or fax to 208-378-5108. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by July 8, 2009 will be considered by Reclamation. Information received will be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by Reclamation to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Reclamation.
