Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta GA, VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of sole source procurement with Georgia Tech Research Corp, Georgia Institute of Technology, 505 Tenth St, NW, Atlanta GA 30332-0420. Georgia Tech Research will provide research and development to determine the potential of applying Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) control paradigm to robotic rehabilitation. The period of performance for this procurement will be August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2010, with two option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541720 with a size standard of $7.0 mil. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements to the Contracting Officer by fax 478-274-5588. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
