Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, on behalf of The Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems, located at Picatinny, NJ is seeking possible sources for the production of 105mm, Target Practice Discarding Sabot with Tracer (TPDS-T) cartridges. The TPDS-T will be fired from a M68 gun tube series on the Stryker Mobile Gun System (MGS). The anticipated procurement will be a firm fixed price contract to be awarded in government fiscal year 2010. Approximate deliverable cartridges anticipated to be awarded is 550 with 2 potential option years, each approximately 1,000 cartridges. Delivery of the initial quantity is required 9 months after contract award. The cartridge will meet the requirements in the performance specification. The cartridge will be similar to the Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot with Tracer (APFSDS-T) M900 in weight, physical appearance, muzzle velocity, firing impulse and a ballistic match to at least 2,000m. The cartridge will be range limited to 8,000m. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. Electronic submittals are preferred. Information submitted should include your organization, personnel, facilities, applicable subcontractor network and past experience to meet specific needs stated above.
