Description
Solicitation 1300129177 is issued as a synopsis/request for quote. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to competitively procure the following line items using procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. (CLIN) 0001 – (1) EA Pedestal Antenna (NSN 5985-LL-000-2119) (CLIN) 0002 – (1) EA Remote Control Unit (NSN 5810-LL-000-2120) (CLIN) 0003 – (1) LOT Power and Data Cable – 85 ft. (NSN 7025-LL-000-2121) (CLIN) 0004 - Shipping These items are being procured in support of the AIMS MARK XII AN/UPA-57 Antenna Replacement Project. The AN/UPA-57 is used with an Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) interrogator system to rotate an IFF antenna conforming to a mounting hole pattern per MIL-A-28737. Power source required is 115 vac, 60 Hz, single phase. Nominal driving torque of 120 foot-pounds continuous with a maximum peak torque of 200 foot-pounds (2 seconds). Synchro output is of the 115vac 60 Hz type (23TRX6). Angular travel required is 360 degrees continuous from 0 to 30 RPM. Rotary joint should be a dual channel coaxial type (Kevlin 1214 or equivalent) with a minimum frequency range of 1.0 to 1.1 GHz at a maximum peak power of 15kw. Radio Frequency (RF) connections are of the female “N” type. The rotator pedestal should not exceed 26”h by 21”w by 19”d and not exceed 175 pounds. Mounting base is 12 x.562 inch diameter thru holes with 17.00 inches between centers equally spaced at 30 degree intervals. The AN/UPA-57 utilizes an external controller with BITE monitoring functions to control and monitor antenna rotation rate and monitor health of rotator drive and controller circuits. The AN/UPA-57 also utilizes a remote control head to be mounted near its PPI display system that allows an operator to run/stow the system and vary the rotational speed. Delivery is required FOB origin to Naval Air Warfar Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland by 16 February 2010. Award is expected 15 July 2009.
