Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: PROJECT HSCG82-09-B-3WCA49. THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR CERTIFIED HUBZONE CONCERNS. THE INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) WILL BE ISSUED 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS NOTICE. THE BID OPENING DATE IS AUGUST 11, 2009 AT 2:00 PM. The estimated value of this procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) code is 237990. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipt of $33.5 million. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The solicitation in its entirety and any amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fbo.gov under the above solicitation number. This project is to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment and transportation to demolish and dispose of the existing wharf of approximately 3,500 SF, and the construction of a new wharf within the same footprint as the existing wharf and of the same dimensions. The new wharf will be constructed of pre-cast concrete piles and reinforced concrete deck, with wood pile and whaler fender system all around its perimeter. The work also includes new electrical, communications, potable water and sanitary sewer shore ties to be furnished and installed in the new wharf located at the Shore Side Detachment, 60 East First Street, Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa 52001-7652. The performance period is 270 calendar days.
