Description
**This procurement will be 100% funded by Recovery Act funding** This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912P8-09-R-0088. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-27. This solicitation is a 100% HUBZONE small business set aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336611. LINE ITEMS The following line items are in incorporated into this solicitation: Item: 0001 Description: RECOVERY - Work Barge for Catfish Point. FFP Barge shall be built according to specifications outlined in the solicitation and delivered to: Mr. Charles Hebert Salt Water Barrier USACE-MVN-OD-FW 899 Mims Rd. West Lake, LA 70669 Delivery shall be made within 180 calendar days after notice of contract award. FOB: Destination Quantity: 1 Price REQUIREMENTS: The Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District is acquiring a Work Barge in accordance with the following specifications: HULL SPECIFICATIONS: * Length approx: 25' 6 LOA (28- 4 with motor bracket) * Beam approx. Height: 12' Top 12' Bottom * Height: 28 deep * Ribs: 3 X.258' channel 14' Centers * Bottom Stiffeners: 3 X.258 Channel 14 centers * Side Stiffener 3 X.258 Channel & 1 X 2 corrugation 2 required on side * Floor and Deck Plating Bottom: 3/16 Aluminum tread plate * Bottom Aluminum plate V bottom * Sides: 3/16 Aluminum Plate Required Options (All items with a BRAND NAME listed are the indicated brand or equal. All equals MUST be indicated in proposals for review.) Please provide a description of how your boat will meet the technical specification. Drawings of the boat may be submitted if desired but are not required. Please provide a listing of previous boats/barges built of similar size and complexity. FAR 52.212- 2 EVALUATION COMMERICAL ITEMS: This clause is applicable to this procurement. Evaluation Factors are: Conformance to Technical Specification of Proposed Boat Past Performance (listing of previous boats/barges built of similar size and complexity) Price Technical and Past performance, when combined, are equal to price. FAR 52.212-3 OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERETIFICATIONS COMMERICAL ITEMS: Offerors shall submit a completed copy of this provision with their proposal.
