- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 334419, Size Standard 500 Employees. Solicitation/Purchase Requisition Number F2KBAD9124A001 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33 effective 15 June 2009. The Government intends to award one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government price and other factors considered. The Government intends to award eleven (11) contract line item numbers: CLIN 0001 - FIBER COUPLED DIODE LASER MODULE, Components include: Laser Supply Unit LDM: 19 inch, 5U high, 556 mm deep. Diode Laser Head: water cooled stacks for a laser power minimum of 1500W cw (end of fiber), Wave Length: 976, Beam Quality/Beam Parameter Product: 66 mm mrad, Long Term Laser Power Stability: <+/-2% over two hours at appropriate environmental conditions, Fiber Connector LLK-B: 600 um suitable for 600um laser light cable, Power Supply: Integrated power supply for the diode laser head, Water/Water Heat Exchanger: closed loop cooling system utilizing conditioned water; Water/Water Heat exchanger for connection to external water supply, Teleservice Module: includes any software updates, Control Unit: Micro controller based unit, LED and LCD screen to view system status, Selectable output power range from 10% to 100%, Reaction time to signal laser on and changes to output power, Two level warning feature indicator; at failure level system will switch to off position for safety. Collimator: 100 mm, Focusing Optic: 40 mm aspheric lens QUANTITY - 1 EACH CLIN 0004 - COUPLING UNIT for auxiliary components, 2 inch, no beam deflection, exchangeable, modular coupling unit for high power diode laser, no deflection of laser beam, Alternatively: 90 degree deflection, standard interface for auxiliary components: CCD camera, IR pyrometer, on line power QUANTITY - 1 EACH CLIN 0005 - DICHRONIC MIRROR for coupling unit, 90 degree deflection of 1064 nm beam, no deflection of pump beam, fits coupling unit in CLIN 0004. QUANTITY - 1 EACH CLIN 0006 - WAVELENGTH STABILIZATION AND CONTROL FOR LDM IN PUMPING APPLICATIONS: Wavelength Control: external control of diode stack cooling temperature (10 - 35 degree C) for active wavelength shifting. Requires external cooling temperature of 5K lower. If external temperature is not used, the temperature should automatically adjust according to output chosen. QUANTITY - 1 EACH CLIN 0007 - INTEGRATED WAVELENGTH SLECTIVE PROTECTION FOR PUMPING: Protection window for fiber laser pumping application, highly reflective > 1050 nm, High transmission for pump wavelength <980.
