Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order under NAVAIR BOA N00019-06-G-0014 to Alliant Techsystems Inc., Clearwater, FL for the procurement of approximately twenty five (25) AAR-47A(V)2 Flight Line Test Sets, P/N 3007255, and forty-five (45) Flight Line Test Set Upgrades from the AAR-47(V)2 configuration, P/N 2643382, to the AAR-47A(V)2 configuration, P/N 3007255, for the USAF. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to Alliant Techsystems Inc.; Clearwater, FL. As the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AAR-47 Missile Warning System (MWS), Alliant Techsystems Inc. is the only qualified source which possesses the requisite knowledge required to perform this requirement in a timely and cost effective manner. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, “only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” This notice of intent is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers.
