Description
RECOVERY: To deliver and stockpile 2,666 tons of 3/4 minus gravel.Set aside: Small business NAICS Code 423320-gravel, construction, merchant wholesalers. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation and any subsequent award, incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2009-1-1. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52-212-1 Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items; 52.212-2 Evaluation -Commercial Items; 52-212-3 Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items; 52-212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; 52-219-4 Notice of price evaluation preference for HUBZone small business concerns; ARRA clauses: FAR 52.203-15 Whistleblower protections; 52.204-11 First-tier subcontracting reporting; 52.212-4 Special Buy-American Act requirements; 52-212-5 Contractor reporting requirements; 52-213-4 Expanded GAO/OIG access to contractor records; 52.214-26; 52-215-2 Section 6.4; 52.225-21 thru 52.225-24; 52-244-6.This requirement contains American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) fundings and will therefore be subject to additional ARRA contract clauses which include additional contractor reporting requirements. An award will be made based on the responses to this combined synopsis/solicitation.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued for this requirement; quotations are being required to be completed on company letterhead and either faxed to 707-464-5846 or by mail. A written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are due by July 8, 2009, 5:00 Pacific Daylight Time. Offers shall be submitted to Redwood National & State Parks, Attention Lyn Giddings, 1111 Second Street, Crescent City, CA 95531. To deliver and dump for stockpile 2,666 TONS of 3/4 minus gravel to the A-9-9 deck. Approximately 7 miles up Hilton Road from Hwy. 101 in Orick. CA. The rock shall be 3/4 minus 100% crushed and shall be free of vegetable matter and other deleterious substances.It shall be of such nature that it can be compacted readily under watering and rolling to form a firm and stable surface.Aggregate may include material processed from reclaimed asphalt concrete, Portland cement concrete, lean concrete base, and cement treated base or a combination of any of these materials. If recycled material is utilized, rock may originate from a source other than a quarry. The amount of reclaimed material shall not exceed 50% of the total volume of the aggregate used. The crushed quarry rock shall be inspected by a representative of the contracting agency prior to delivery to the worksite to insure material quality.
