- This is a Source Selection Best Value Solicitation to provide for a General Construction Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for construction, alteration, and repair to Government facilities by means of an indefinites delivery indefinite quantity MACC for various facilities in the Mid-Atlantic Area of Responsibility (AOR). The Government anticipates award of approximately six (6) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) MACC contracts will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The performance period for each contract will include an initial base period of twelve months with four (4) twelve-month option periods for a total performance period of sixty months. The total value for base and all options of all contracts will not exceed $750,000,000. The minimum guarantee is $25,000 per contract over the full term of the contract to include option years. Typical projects will have an estimated construction cost between $20,000,000 up to $50,000,000. There will be a seed project included in this solicitation. Seed project: The Request for Proposal (RFP) will include an initial Design-Build Maintenance Hanger, MCAS New River, NC. The work includes construction of a multi-story aircraft maintenance hangar addition, to provide hangar by, shop space, flight line operations and maintenance functions. The addition will joint the existing aircraft parking apron and will include a multi-story crew, equipment, and administrative area at the rear of the hangar bay. The approximate Solicitation Release date is 01 July 2009. This solicitation is available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet. Contractors are requested to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NECO website. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220 with a Size Standard of $33,500,000. This project is not set aside for small business.
