Description
The INSCOM Directorate of Contracting intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a contract with GE Inspection Technologies, LP (GE), 199 HWY 206, Flanders, NY 07836 for four (4) XL GO VideoProbe and accessories. The XL GO VideoProbe is the most portable, lightweight, high-resolution video borescope available-to-tackle inspections in small hard to reach place. Applications include the inspection of windmills, pipelines, gas turbines, steam turbines, aircraft engines, underground sewer lines, steam generators or heat exchangers to detect any damage or defects without disassembly. GE Inspection Technologies is the owner of the XL GO VideoProbe and sole provider of maintenance and technical support. The anticipated date for contract award is July 6, 2009. The DOC has determined that XL GO VideoProbe is proprietary and marketed by GE Inspection Technologies as the only qualified and authorized entity that can provide the necessary hardware maintenance and all of its related products and services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. No solicitation document is available. Interested parties may submit their interest and ability to meet INSCOM Directorate of Contracting needs. However, responses received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by INSCOM Directorate of Contracting not to open this requirement to competition based upon any written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of INSCOM Directorate of Contracting.
