Description
SATOC Contractors POC Contact Information. RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER SUSTAINMENT, RESTORATION & MODERNIZATION ACQUISITION TASK ORDER CONTRACT (SATOC). In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Re-Investment Act of 2009, Pub.L. 111-5, the Government posts this presolicitation notice of intent to issue a task order under an established Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with the Prime Contractors presently assigned to the Sustainment, Restoration & Modernization Acquisition Task Order Contract (SATOC) which is operated by HQ AETC CONS LGCT office, c/o HQ AFCESA CONS CEKC at Tyndall AFB, FL. The Prime Contractors main point of contact is listed on the attached SATOC Prime Spreadsheet. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact the companies listed from this attachment. The Contractor is to design and then install a wind-powered generation system, providing at least 500 KW (the number and size of towers to be determined via the Contractor's design effort), with supporting switch gear, governors, controls systems, HVAC and any additional functional controls that could be affected through this integration, a small peaking generator (ex. 50 kW) and an electric boiler dump-load system at the Long Range Radar Stations (LRRS) of Cape Romanzof. The design and construction effort should include optimization equipment (load shedding, UPS and peaking generator) to balance the load changes when a diesel generator needs to be started. The project will reduce emissions, diesel generator run time and fuel usage at each LRRS. Wind power will be used to generate electric power and heat to replace electricity and heat produced by a conventional boiler systems and diesel generators. The energy produced will be economical, renewable, and environmentally sound.
