Description
Interested contractors must clearly illustrate their qualifications in providing a wide variety of manufacturing and engineering services to support the Mobile Parts Hospital (MPH), located in South West Asia (SWA). The MPH is a self-contained, self-sustaining mobile manufacturing system that efficiently fabricates standard and unique parts at or near the point of need to enhance Soldier readiness. This requirement is for the overflow portion of the MPH. This requirement requires the capability to sporadically and immediately produce critically needed parts that are essential to the survivability of troops overseas. Advanced machine shop experience must be demonstrated, including but not limited to 5 Axis CNC, lathes, mills, grinding, sheet metal, painting/plating, welding, fabrication, and precision assembly to manufacture products. Engineering expertise is required, as reverse engineering is often needed because technical data is not usually immediately available. Contractor shall also possess the capability to develop and provide Level III Technical Data for any items that are reverse engineered. Interested sources shall provide evidence that shows the capability to rapidly ramp up to two shifts, without advance warning to meet the volatile surge and slow-down in requirements inherent in a war-time environment. Only contractors with a DCAA approved accounting system will be considered, as it is anticipated that any resulting contract will be on a Time and Material basis. ISO 9001/2000 compliance is required. Only responses illustrating proven capability will be considered.
