- The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for Mentoring Skills Building Workshops for Mentors and Mentees. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The announcement number is F1T1EA9142A001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 611430 with a size standard of $7.0M. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. _________________________________________________________ The requirement (Statement of Work) consists of the following items: Mentor and Mentee formal mentoring program training requirement: - Half to full day on-site mentoring workshops conducted between 14 September and 30 October 2009 to train 300 employees on how to conduct mentoring. The 300 employees (military and civil service) will be both mentors and mentees. - Workshop sizes can range from 20 to 50 employees each - Preferably, the workshops should be combined with breakout sessions for mentors and mentees. - The workshops should teach mentor and mentee roles, responsibilities, core mentoring skills, and mentoring best practices. - The workshops should provide practical application exercises for participants to practice mentoring skills. - The workshops should provide tools to assist formal mentoring partnerships. - A guide and/or handbook shall be included for individual mentors and protégés. A separate/unique guide book shall be provided for mentors and for mentees. - Copies of presentation materials for 300 participants (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint slides) - Follow-on support to include: o E-mail access to mentoring consultants throughout the mentoring cycle (1 year) for mentors, mentees, and the program manager to ask questions related to the program, roles and responsibilities, and ideas to achieve and maintain momentum in mentoring partnerships. o On-line access to mentoring articles each month for mentors, mentees, and the program manager, as well as access to archived learing materials. - Government will provide facilities (classroom) and equipment (computer, projector). ________________________________________________________________ The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-33 effective 15 June 2009.
